Atlantic systems roll towards us. Clouds gather against hills. Rain crosses a valley in sheets and, sometimes minutes later, sunlight breaks through and makes the whole place look new.

And create the memory.

British weather has shaped our landscape, our routines, our language and, in its own peculiar way, our temperament.

We carry coats when the sky is blue.

We sit outside at the first hint of spring.

We remember summers by the few impossibly hot days and holidays by how hard it rained.

And because grey skies are so familiar, we notice the light when it arrives.

Weather Window captures that moment.
