An ancient oak does not experience time as we do.

A year becomes another ring. A storm becomes a scar. A dry summer, a wet winter, a broken branch — each quietly written into the wood.

And while kingdoms, roads and lives change around it, the tree carries on growing.

A Thousand Years is a celebration of that kind of permanence.

Of the ancient trees that make parts of Britain feel older than memory. Of landscapes inherited rather than invented. And of our responsibility to make sure something living today can still be standing long after we are gone.
